Big Moves Happening at the Lazy E for numbered ropers!

by

This is your invitation to enter the 2020 edition of the 11.5 started by Perry Di Loreto all those years ago. While there have been some modifications to the roping, we still value the principals that Perry started this roping on—produce a fair and good paying roping, while giving back to the community.

Some exciting news for the 2020 roping—it is moving to an 85% payback! The roping format will remain the same being a four-steer, with a three-steer consolation round, progressive on three, and will be limited to 150 teams at $2,000 a roper. While many 11.5 ropings cap their heelers at a #7, we’re changing our cap to #6.5 on the heeling side. Your entry will still include a cowboy auction and dinner for you and your family hosted Satruday night at the Hilton Garden Inn in Edmond, OK.

Let’s talk payout. Where can you rope against 150 teams for the payout of 85%, PLUS the huge prize line worth another bucket load, which includes Cactus Saddles, Gist Silversmith Buckles, YETI Coolers, Cactus Saddle Pads, Cactus Breast Collars, Heel-O-Matics Bones & Hox, Total Feed, Bio Mane, Wranglers, Cactus Ropes, and Resistol Black Gold Hats just to name a few.
The schedule for BFI Week will change with Monday morning kicking off with the 12.5 High Desert Showdown at 9:00 am and the Wrangler National Patriot 11.5 starting at noon.

BFI Week will see an addition of a 10.5 Over 40 Roping which means Tuesday will be an all Over 40 day for the ropers! The 10.5 roping will start at 9:00 am and the Cactus 9.5 will immediately follow. These are also 85% payback.

Wednesday will still be the All-Ladies day, with the Team Roping starting at 9:00 am and the increasingly popular Breakaway roping starting after the team roping and not before 1:00 pm.

Saturday June 20, will see some of the best youth participating in the Hooey Jr BFI Championship, starting at 9:00 am with the 10.5 followed by the Open at 1:30 pm.
